changes

there has been A LOT of changes since my last blog post in March. Lets see… where do I begin.. well lets start with some pretty big news..

I got MARRIED šŸ™‚ We had a beautiful backyard ceremony at my parents house and to sum up that day.. it was amazing! I got to marry a wonderful man and in seven days we will have been married for 2 MONTHS! Its crazy! I am still struggling to use Pelegrino as my last name and it still feels a little weird to say I have a husband but all in all it has been an amazing experience and journey. I could not ask for a better man to stand by me for the rest of my life! I love you babe *hehe I know my sisters are laughing at that one. Here are a few of my favorites from the day. I wish I could share them all but that would be a really long post!

We are so blessed to be surrounded by the best family and friends. A special thanks goes out to my good friend Z who is a rockstar photographer and took photos of us on that special day! You are amazing girl and thank you so much for beautiful photos!!

On the the next big news… I am officially launching my photography business!! As of July 1, Brittany Pelegrino Photography will be in business!! I wrote back in January in my blog post hiatus about a secret goal I wanted to accomplish this year. This is that goal šŸ™‚ I have been shooting for four years trying to build my portfolio and develop a style that I love. I ultimately reached this decision a month before the wedding but had to get all of our wedding plans squared away before I could really jump into creating this business. Saying I feel accomplished is an understatement. I can’t believe what I have been dreaming about for years has finally turned into a reality. Woo hoo! A new years resolution I am glad I kept!! Since the launch of this new business I have created a Facebook page, Brittany Pelegrino Photography. I am going to try to keep updates coming on the blog and on Facebook but sometimes it is a lot quicker to type a status update than it is to write a blog post.

To kick off this business, I am launching a senior rep program! A senior rep is an adventurous, outgoing senior who would like to participate in a fun, completely styled photo shoot, get marketing materials to share with your friends and who will ultimately represent me in a positive way. If you want to be apart of this new program, you can apply for it here. There is also a lot more information on that page about the perks of being a senior rep šŸ™‚

Also since my three month stent away from this blog, I have done a few new shoots! I did a spring session with the Stephenson’s, my first newborn session, a cap & gown session with a couple of awesome seniors for Holly Springs High School and a family session with the Hofknechts. It has been quite a busy spring/summer for me already. I plan on pulling more of these photos into my photography portfolio section so be on the look out for those collections coming soon! But for now… here are a few of my favorites from those sessions:

I have to brag for a second… the people I work with are the best! Every single one of these sessions was so much fun – despite super hot temperatures and babies who did not want to sleep šŸ™‚

All in all it as been an amazing two months! I am glad to finally be in a place where I can start blogging and sharing up dates with you all regularly again. Before I end this post I want to just end with a few of the things I am thankful for…

  • …She Said Yes, By: The Mumford and Sons – Nana, thanks for finding this song for our wedding šŸ™‚ Every time I hear it I think about that day and how special it was
  • …Good friends who can come into town and how it feels like they never left
  • …Bear – even though you have knocked over the trash can and stained my carpet multiple times eating garbage since you started your diet to loose weight, I still love you. I am thankful for that ‘look’ you give me when you are sitting on the chair watching TV with me. You are like a little, hairy, interesting person.
  • …For my husband – and how supportive you are of my dreams šŸ™‚

Hope you all have a fantastic rest of the week and weekend!!
