I am FINALLY getting a chance to blog about my session with the Toblers š I went down to Topsail Island with Ann and her husband Patrick to take their three-year anniversary photos right at the end of September. We had such a blast being one of the few people on the beach and had gorgeous weather. But before I get into the pictures from our session I want to tell you all about this AMAZING woman and her awesome husband. Lets start from the beginning…
Occasionally I will peruse the help-wanted ads on Craigslist looking for second-shooting gigs for weddings in the Raleigh area. While I do love my senior portrait sessions I have become very interested in shooting weddings. I am of the mindset that the best way to learn how to do something is to actually do it so I decided to dip my toe in the wedding waters by second shooting for a more senior photographer. Well one day I was going through some ads and I stumbled across one that really caught my attention. The photographs included in the ad were amazing and it just so happened that in one of the photographs was a picture of a really good family friend – the picture was from her engagement session and *SWOON* I remember seeing the whole session on Facebook and thinking to myself I would love to meet and work with this photographer… well… as fate would have it this was the very photographer and she was looking for help! I couldn’t believe it. I don’t think I have ever written an email so quickly before in my life.
As luck would have it I ended up meeting Ann at a coffee shop to talk about the second-shooting position… a couple of coffees and 2 hours later Ann agreed to let me assist her during the wedding – which is coming up THIS WEEKEND!! EEEOOWW!! – and we agreed to do a portrait swap. She agreed to take some professional head shots of me as well as sneak a few couple shots with my hubby and I agreed to going down to Topsail to do her anniversary photos. And the rest folks is history š
Ann rocked out my portrait session and gave me so many amazing images! Like these little beauties below:
Seriously ya’ll. SHE IS SO GOOD! I am planning on doing some rebranding work on my website and I once the design work is nailed down I will be sharing more of her wonderful images. So be on the lookout for her amazing photographs to be on the site soon!
I feel so fortunate to have met this woman. She is crazy talented, super kind and is very passionate about photography. You can check out all of her work on her website: http://www.missjeesphotography.com/. So without further ado, here are the photos of the Toblers!
I am so thankful that I have met this beautiful family! This session was by far one of my favorites. I am so excited that this weekend I get to team up with Ann and do a wedding. It is going to be a BLAST!
